Vidhya joined the home aged 10, following the death of her father, leaving her with no means of support.
“I don’t know how to talk about how I came to the home. I was very timid and scared. But I am very happy now, I have a happy life. I have become courageous, learned dancing and learned how to look after myself. I came to know I was talented. I am also happy that I am the first to graduate in my community!”
Now aged 23, Vidhya has gained her Bachelors degree in computer science, and is completing her teacher training at the Holy Angels Teachers’ Training College. She wants to teach classes 11, 12 and college level computer science.
